What is the harvey entertainment company?

Harvey Entertainment Company was a Hollywood-based animation production company that produced and distributed animated television shows and movies. It was founded in 1941 by Alfred Harvey and his brothers and was primarily known for creating the famous comic book character, Casper, The Friendly Ghost.

The company produced several other popular animated shows such as Baby Huey, Little Audrey, and Herman and Katnip. In 1991, Harvey Entertainment was acquired by entertainment giant, MCA, Inc. In 2012, the company was acquired by Classic Media, which was later acquired by DreamWorks Animation in 2013.

Today, many of Harvey Entertainment's famous animated characters are still popular, with several being adapted into modern feature films and television shows. The Harvey Comics library is now owned by DreamWorks Animation, which continues to develop and create content based on the iconic characters created by Harvey Entertainment.
